Wednesday Give Away - Julia Childs Cook Book

Photobucket

At this time of year when it's Wintery and bleak outside, the perfect thing to bring some warmth to a home is a bit of cooking.

So this week's give away is by Julia Childs, the woman who brought exuberance and excitement into the kitchen with her delicious recipes and enthusiasm for eating. It is her "Julia's Kitchen Wisdom" book where you will learn, "Essential techniques and recipes from a lifetime of cooking". Sigh, sounds perfect to me.

Also if you haven't seen the film, "Julie and Julia" I suggest it to be a perfect dvd to stay in, snuggled up under a rug with a glass of your favourite vino.

Once again to enter you just need to be a Vintage by Lou Lou blog follower and to spice it up a bit, leave a comment below about what your favourite Winter warming food is.

The give away closes midnight next Tuesday (AEST time).

I would also like to congratulate Leeann from Fabulously French as the give away winner for the Endless Jewel gift certificate.

P.S. I've just realised I will be announcing the winner for this book by a French inspired cook on Bastille Day. Kinda perfect xx

  9. Favourite winter warming food? Easily soups - pumpkin, turnip, roast tomato (if you are lucky enough to live in a part of the world that can produce tomatoes year round), etc. Paired with generously buttered toast soldiers of course. Yum!

  12. I have been luking but this had drawn me out...
I love a hearty home made soup cooked long and slow, or slow-cooker curry with an aroma that fills my home; and then as the home made bread comes for the oven the fragrences delight the senses. Bring out the my blue & white china, lock out the cold and who cares that it is winter?
