An Old Fashioned Games Night

We have a games cupboard over flowing (funnily enough) with games. The cupboard tends to grow at Christmas time or when we find a game we haven't got at a local garage sale or op shop. They get played around holiday time and occasionally on a Sunday afternoon. But in all honesty they tend to collect dust more than seeing daylight and being eagerly played.

Last night we made amends with that and had some old fashioned fun with the kids and friends. A gramophone played music suitably perfect for Charleston in the background, delicious conversation over dinner and some game fun with Twister, Connect 4 and Tripoley (involves a poker hand). No modern technology insight and everyone happy and content. Hmmm makes you think...

  1. That sounds like fun. We do it occassionaly, but not enough. We have a game called Rumikub which I can highly recommend :)

  2. Sounds like such a fun night! My birthday is Saturday, and the kids have promised to play board games with me.
