"During the fifteen minutes that followed, the proud and sensitive girl suffered a shame and pain which she never forgot. To others it might seem a ludicrous or trivial affair, but to her it was a hard experience, for during the twelve years of her life she had been governed by love alone..." Little Women, Ch 7
The Serendipity book club launches next month on Tuesday the 7th of February with a loved classic, Little Women by Louisa May Alcott.
We invite those interested to participate to indulge in the book between now and then and share with us a glass of wine over discussion points on the novel.
We follow this up in March with another Alcott book, "The Chase" or "A Long Fatal Love Chase" not as well known as "Little Women" and considered to have an entirely different feel altogether. It was controversial in its time and we will enjoy comparing the two novels.
If you are interested in attending please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org as RSVPs are required.
